Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido

Shin Shin Toitsu (Ki) Aikido

– teaches the application of calmness of mind and body to martial arts and daily life

– uses Aikido‘s throwing, restraining, and weapons techniques, derived from Japan’s feudal era

Рincorporates Shin Shin Toitsu Do, a Yoga-based system of  breathing, stretching, and meditation

– develops balance, flexibility, fitness, focus, and perseverance – on and off the mat.

Instructor – Randy Thompson, 3rd Dan

A live-in student of Kashiwaya Sensei (8th Dan, US Advisor to Ki Society HQ), Thompson Sensei seeks to pass on the mind-body coordination taught by the founder of Ki-Aikido, Tohei Sensei, through the pursuit of effective martial technique.

In addition to the traditional weapons of Aikido – short staff (jo) and wooden sword (bokken) – Thompson Sensei trains and teaches live-sword arts.
