At Northwest Martial Arts we emphasize attitudes and behaviors that kids can apply to everyday life. Our classes inspire confidence, determination and achievement that will carry into adulthood.
Our primary focus is character development. Martial art skills are very useful and fun to practice, but our goal is to help children become responsible, successful and happy adults. We view martial arts as a vehicle for kids to learn about life; how to deal with challenges, overcome obstacles, and how to make better choices. To do this we teach a mix of skills from Aikido, Jujutsu and Karate, focusing on physical fitness, coordination, basic self-defense skills and fun. We currently offer classes to kids ages 7 to 13.
