Students at Northwest Martial Arts begin by focusing on one or two traditions to advance in rank. As they progress, by working with those training in the other styles, they achieve a deeper understanding of their chosen art. In our experience, this process of sharpening iron with iron leads to greater proficiency and confidence.

In addition to the open-hand arts listed above, NWMA offers training in the use of the Japanese sword and its modern equivalents – pistol and rifle. We offer this weapons training in periodic seminars, some open to the public and some by invitation-only.
